Líderes del Mañana

Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders

A youth development program that equipped young people with leadership skills, community connections, and values to become engaged and responsible changemakers.

Líderes del Mañana was a youth development program created to empower young people by helping them build the foundational skills and values needed to become engaged and responsible members of their communities.

The program provided participants with opportunities to connect with local leaders, volunteer at nonprofit organizations and elder care homes, and take part in hands-on workshops focused on personal growth, leadership, and civic responsibility. From learning effective communication to developing empathy and resilience, youth were equipped with tools to make a lasting and positive impact in their communities.

As the Internal Communications Manager, I worked with national and regional stakeholders to support the design and delivery of communications materials, managed the production process alongside the multimedia team, and coordinated events and travel.

Through this initiative, I applied my skills in program development, community engagement, and youth empowerment to create an experience that not only equipped young people with practical tools but also inspired a culture of purpose, pride, and hope.

Project Insights

I learned that leadership means not only guiding a program but also creating opportunities for others to lead. By supporting youth in finding their voice and collaborating with stakeholders, I saw how leadership can spark confidence and build the foundation for future leaders.

The biggest challenge was coordinating travel and service activities across multiple locations while keeping the program’s vision consistent. I overcame this by working closely with stakeholders, managing logistics with flexibility, and ensuring that communications materials reinforced the program’s purpose and values.

I applied my skills in branding, communications materials, logistics, and project management to support national and regional stakeholders.

This project pushed me to work directly with youth participants in settings that required empathy, adaptability, and strong communication. It challenged me to balance professional responsibilities with creating authentic connections that made participants feel supported and inspired.

The program equipped young people with leadership skills, community connections, and personal growth opportunities that encouraged them to become engaged and responsible members of their communities. It also strengthened partnerships with local leaders and organizations while fostering a culture of purpose, pride, and hope.

I will carry forward the lesson that meaningful impact happens when people are given the tools and support to grow into leaders. This project showed me the importance of combining structured programming with space for personal reflection and real-world experience.

I am most proud of helping create an initiative that gave young people the confidence to see themselves as future changemakers. Watching participants step into leadership roles and connect with their communities was both inspiring and rewarding.

Participants and stakeholders expressed gratitude for the program and highlighted how it gave youth a sense of direction and purpose. This feedback reinforced the value of investing in youth empowerment and encouraged me to continue designing initiatives that leave a lasting impact.
